Detail Cleaning Checklist

Every Sponge & Sparkle detail cleaning includes all the general cleaning tasks (emptying trash, changing linens, etc.) plus the following: 

• Cobwebs Removed
• Blinds and shutters vacuumed or wiped (open shutters)
• Baseboards washed if visible dust and dirt – or vacuumed if sufficient (reachable without moving furniture)
• Vents wiped or dusted
• Lamps and lampshades dusted or vacuumed with attachment
• Hanging Picture Frames wiped down
• Knick knacks and pictures hand wiped
• Furniture polished (fronts, sides, legs)
• Stairs vacuumed or wiped down including spindles
• Floors vacuumed and mopped if wood or tile (including CLOSETS)
• Carpet thoroughly vacuumed with moving light items on floor
• Mirrors and glass windexed
• Any french or glass doors windexed  (both sides)
• Windowsills,  woodwork, molding, trim, and windowsills washed
• All Doors washed down
• Light switch plates wiped off
• All cabinet fronts washed
• Outside of appliances cleaned top to bottom/inside microwave (For empty units/move-outs, clean floor where appliances were).
• Cabinet fronts  & Counters washed down (For empty units/move-outs, wipe all drawers and cabinets)
• All sinks scrubbed, including drains.
• Tub/Shower & Tiles scrubbed.
• Stovetop and drip pans scrubbed
• Top of refrigerator cleaned
• Wash off washer / dryer
• Any chrome and mirrors cleaned (especially chrome trash cans)
• Items on countertops moved and wiped down
• Vacuum sofas
• On floors with area rugs flip edges of rugs back to be able to vacuum underneath
• Special attention to buildup in bathrooms and kitchen
• Special attention to heavy dust buildup.

Exceptions:
We cannot move furniture, but will try to reach any visible places either by hand or with an extension duster. We do not climb higher than a 3-step ladder. Higher items will be dusted with an extension duster.
